Kerala University College of Teacher Education (KUCTE) - Kunnam, Mavelikara.

Facilities :
Our college has its own water supply and enough toilet facilities- 8 toilets. Enough class for all optional subjects are offered here. There are 11 rooms and a general hall. 4 rooms (5m X 6m each) are in the group of the new multistoried building. This was found by Hon'ble M.L.A.'s local development fund and P.T.A fund of the college. The new buildings accommodate the principal's office and the administrative office in addition to the computer room and science laboratory. The Hon'ble M.P. Srimathi C.S. Sujatha has promised fund of Rs: 15 lakhs for the construction of the fist floor of the new building. In addition to that, the college development committee has some fund to make an extension to the existing group floor of this building. The first floor of the new building is under construction now. The plan of the existing building and the building under construction is enclosed.
Our college has got a reasonable well stocked library with a total number of 3846 books including reference books, text books, encyclopedias and we do subscribe for well known journals and periodicals and daily newspapers. Has got a stock of all necessary Chemicals, apparatus and other equipments needed for both Physical science and Natural science laboratories. Has got an educational psychology laboratory with relevant laboratory equipments and test item needed for teaching educational psychology. Has got necessary item needed in Educational Technology room such as TV, VCR, Automatic slide projector, OHP, Educational CDs and Educational Videocassettes. Has got stock of enough sports materials.
Has got 5 computers with UPS and colour printer. Has got public address system. There is enough numbers of school for teaching practice purpose within a radius of 7-10 Kms, all of them very co- operative.
We will try to upgrade and improve the infra structural and other facilities to meet the norms and conditions stipulated by National Council for Teacher Education to the highest possible level in the shortest possible time.
